The best team by far!

I have a team of 20 promoters working on a project at the moment. I am highlighting this specific project as it has proven extremely challenging. A well-planned campaign hampered by our local municipal regulations on advertising, pamphlet distribution and promotional initiatives.

Basically laws in our region prohibit us from handing out any promotional material in pubic places. We are not allowed to put up posters anywhere unless it has been paid for and a permit obtained from local authorities. We are most certainly not allowed to distribute from robots, parking garages, shopping centres or beaches unless it is in benefit of George tourism and the local economy. Even if you do obtain permission [slim chance] promoters have to carry permits on them at all times.

So how do you run a promotional campaign here? With guerrilla marketing of course!

Generally it’s a nightmare coordinating a team in such conditions - law enforcement sometimes try and arrest the promoters or issue large fines. This scares the average promoter, not to mention that it de-motivates promoters immensely.

This years team has proven to be astounding! They ooze personality and charm and have managed to talk their way out of every sticky encounter with absolute finesse! The teams’ energy is contagious and their attitude something to be admired! I firmly believe that it is this energy and their positive can-do attitude that has generated super comments from both the public and our clients.

To my clowns - You Rock!

  1. Interesting, I didn’t know this was illegal over here!

Anyway, I think I saw some people dressed like this at the crossing of Courtenay and Market streets the other day.
