Bad customer service? Look no further for a solution.
I am a big believer in “adding value. I read Darren’s post on Service. Everywhere except where you need it and I was impressed by the concept of a company that adds value through efficient complaint handling. Awesome!
Darren’s post made me consciously evaluate the service I am currently receiving from suppliers and companies I deal with regularly. In addition it made me wonder why I seldom [if ever] lodge complaints about shoddy service or unacceptable practice. I came to the conclusion that it was frustrating and too time-consuming.
GetClosure seems to be adding tremendous value and awareness to customer service issues and consumer rights in South Africa. What makes this concept dazzling, apart from the fact that it is an interesting information portal, is the fact that lodging a complaint does not become a name and shame game. It turns the frustration and even anger when lodging a complaint into a positive and constructive experience.
The service addresses complaints in a professional and efficient manner. An efficient complaint process is ultimately based on clear communication between all parties concerned. A great aspect of GetClosure is the fact that the entire process is driven by a specific outcome selected by you the consumer.
Could this be the ultimate system for complaint handling? No big scenes, nastyiness, or the frustration of being put on hold for the tenth time while being transferred to theright person. GetClosure means no mess, no fuss. Just clear communication between you and the company concerned to reach a desired outcome.
Communication, innovation, web2.0, and a positive outcome chosen as the goal - ingredients for a winning concept.

Hey Darling
Long time no speak!
I know about http://www.hellopeter.com - but I feel that it doesn’t add as much value as http://www.getclosure.co.za.
With GetClosure it is a more discreet service - a company’s image stays in tact and they are presented with an opportunity to remedy the situation in a professional manner.
As for the consumer, it is quick, easy and effective. When you lodge a complaint you are doing it to achieve an outcome not whine in public. Outcomes such as being refunded, receiving an apology or making them aware of it seem more constructive to me.
I feel that HelloPeter is more about name and shame with an element of sensation. Or is it just me?
Hugs from the mother city!
