I’m going to be there, and that’s what counts, right? It is after all one of the coolest events to attend.

I need to say a BIG thank to social media master, Vincent Maher for letting me attend the New Media Marketing Conference on the condition that I document it in Flickr for the blogging community.

A big bear hug to Paul for also going to great lengths to get me there! You rock.

The annual New Media Marketing Conference promises to be an exciting, educational, thought-provoking event. Since I am big on blogging, branding, creative ideas, innovative business and practically addicted to tracking trends, new applications and gadgets, I couldn’t miss this one!

Key speakers include Mike Stopforth, Arthur Goldstruck, Rudolf Muller, Rick Joubert, Leon Orsmond, Colin Daniels, Allan Kent, Jenny Van Niekerk, David Wessels, and of course Paul Jacobson.

Other speakers include my friends: Justin Hartman from the Times, Eric Edelstein, Matt Buckland from the Mail & Guardian and the young and talented Tyler Reed.

I am particularly looking forward to the Friday morning workshop on Multimedia Branding. The workshop will take a look at integrating web and mobile strategies, campaigns that integrate into both web and mobile platforms, strategies to use when merging web and mobile into a marketing campaign and incorporating new media into traditional advertising.

The web [2.0] is big, but I am guessing that the next really BIG thing is mobile.
