My two cents for the day

Sjoe! What a day. Haven’t had such a bizarre day for a while.

  • Today I received flowers - two bouquets in actual fact!
  • I also opened myself up for possible complication with an associate
  • I had an unexpected guest fly in to see me
  • And of course learned that Facebook is a complete bitch - I forgot that it broadcasts changes in relationship status and in this case, the removal thereof.
  • In short I was reminded today that both honesty and a lack thereof can come back and bite you in the ass.

Firstly if you really, really honest - you open yourself up for possible catastrophe and of course rejection of some sorts… whether it be you as person or your mind-blowing business ideas.

Secondly if you not completely honest it creates unresolved issues! It’s not about lying it’s about what you don’t say when you know you should be saying it! This will of course lead to unnecessary complication later. In addition this does not promote clear-cut communication and solid understanding.

Moral of the story, when you have something on your mind - blurt it out and deal with the consequences then and there. As for the rejection bit: don’t hang around and hover, move along swiftly and don’t look back!

    1. Ya know…it’s a bit late for this now obviously - but in the future - you can turn off those relationship change broadcasts and even turn off the relationship status in your account…

It’s all in the Privacy and Mini-Feed settings in your account profile.

Good luck on the complications! Haha - hopefully it’s not too rough!

    2. Hi Marcus

Thanks for pointing that one out! Handy to know.

I have however learned from the experience - Facebook should be approached by vividly visualizing both the execution and the consequences.

Well, now that everybody thinks I am no longer single - my social life might just experience a slump! I am seeing it as a mini vacation!
