Unrealistic expectation and dissatisfaction
I seldom click back on what I have written, but while chatting to a feistyfemale fan he mentioned that he liked this quote from my previous post:
“I regret having replaced appreciation with expectation.”
I was amused that I managed to capture a bit of wisdom in a short sentence. [I have my moments.]
It’s so much easier writing things than applying them!
I believe we often don’t appreciate what we have as we constantly shift our goal posts. We become unrealistic and demanding! Perhaps these unrealistic expectations in combination with a demanding neediness, make us super unsatisfied?
If this is so…
How do you break the habit of creating unrealistic expectations?
PS Who would have thought that it could be hard feeling content.

LordFoom - Thanks for the link, an interesting read indeed. I will air some of my thoughts on the topics in a separate post over the weekend.
