I realise that this blog is slightly inconsistent and neglected… but hey, I am out there living, working and having fun. So to all of those who gently nudge me to blog: I won’t have any thoughts to blog if I wasn’t embracing life!

My family and closest friends will know that I live and breathe business. I am a walking idea-generator. This year I have spent a lot of time reading unhealthy amounts of business, marketing and art books. I have also spent hours playing with concepts, ideas and random  thoughts that caught my fancy. It has been awesome actually having the time to research, play and absorb it all without the pressures that come with studying and writing exams.

Here are my scattered business-related thoughts thus far:

• I am an entrepreneur. It runs in my veins. It’s a big part of who I am. I think my friends will agree I live, speak, breathe and dream business.
• Starting companies and having my own businesses or running my own projects makes me ecstatically happy.
• I find it exciting to work on projects and companies from concept to implementation. The possibilities and business opportunities make my pulse race and the positive change that a company or project can affect drives me – rather passionately too.
• Nobody understands your passion, or rather obsession in business. This makes being in business a lonely at times. I wish I had accepted and embraced this fact sooner.
• It’s ok to make mistakes in business. Hell, it’s ok to have a business fail. [I have had a couple].  The fact that you are brave enough to try is what makes you a good entrepreneur. If you fail, you must be willing to let go and move on. Learn from experience. Don’t beat yourself up for “failing” - it most definately doesn’t make you a bad business person.
