Just an arb weekend update
Generally I live life at breakneck speed. This however was one of the more peaceful weekends in yonks. I thought I’d celebrate with a post…
Friday:
Friday drinks with the most mind-blowing women I know aka The Mango-OMC team. Let’s not forget the AwesomeSmartAss who managed to join us for Friday festivities.
Saturday:
- Visit to the Old Biscuit Mill. The second weekend in a row. Clearly you can never experience too much of a good thing.
- Shopped for hob, fridge and cupboards… *sigh* which I have still not purchased. I have (appliance) commitment issues
- Gym – I love it, I love it, I love it! I still have a niggling foot issue, so no running and kicking just yet.
Sunday:
A lazy morning in bed reading magazines and researching sporadic and outrageous ideas.
The Roomie and I wandered to Wembley in search of internet. He (my lab rat) is exploring blogging for his tourism establishment. I am the guide and commentator. I have to admit that I am genuinely interested in the questions he asks. It has shown me, how out of touch you become when you work in an industry. I have been reminded that normal (non-socialmedia/internet folk) people’s experiences and thoughts in an online environment are very different than mine. Never ever assume people know what you know. Lesson learned!
Whilst The Roomie was doing his thing I explored dream symbolism for vicious black cats, researched recycling technology and tamed my Twitter profile. The amount of (useless/non-value-adding) tweets were driving me dilly. I also had a very random, completely flighting moment of intrigue…there’s really very little more fascinating than a mysterious and unpredictable man.
I made KILLER sandwiches for lunch (I occasionally get it right). Finally watched The Bucket List and The Other Boleyn Girl. Loved the latter… it refreshes the dormant knowledge on history, Shakespeare and another lifetime… where decapitating people was often a crowd-pleaser….
Looking forward to a fast-paced and exciting week filled with new adventures. My goals:
- Find fascinating career prospect or project [One that I can be addicted to.]
- Find canvass – must paint. The craving as spoken.
- Implement at least one bold and utterly bizarre idea for Ripple and/or Feisty Blog.
Over and out!

…small coincidence, I actually finally saw The Bucket List this weekend as well – not quite as good as I had hoped/expected sadly, but not a total failure either I suppose.
I think that Hollywood is suffering the same affliction as the local blogosphere – too much of the same old story by celebs with big names.
