Fascination from a distance

Fascination, whether it be somebody or something is usually better experienced from a distance. Your object can be scrutinized more objectively.

I find our specie mind-blowing at the best of times. Human interaction is a bit of a game to me. Some people collect stamps as a pastime, I love watching people. I also like pushing their buttons.  I should mention that I’m by no means malicious – merely playful.

Working online has gotten me added to many an email list. A couple of months back I got added to a list by a particularly bizarre creature. You can learn a lot about your beliefs and even challenge your thinking by watching someone whom you can’t relate to and mostly disagree with. After subtly- induced irritation, I managed to get myself kicked off the list. What to do…

I’ve always observed and analyzed people – specific people. Although it’s difficult to pinpoint what attracts me to individuals I observe, if I had to single out a reason, it would be difference. Watching people’s differences in personality, character, behaviour and beliefs is educational. The contrasts between human beings is not only rich and colourful but remarkable. Understanding people is an essential life skill.

Everybody watches other people.  I’d like to know, what you look at when observing people from a distance?
